Seeking a way to celebrate her favorite parts of America, Tampa designer Virginia “Ginny” VanOsdol created fabrics that elegantly incorporate iconic American images into her daily lifestyle.
Friends loved the warm reminders of their childhood and vacations past, and Town Toiles was born.
Using the traditional French toile du Jouy, which employs line art drawings of historic and pastoral scenery, Ginny has built a company that incorporates fashionable and practical items for home décor, entertaining, and daily life.
Today, many of America’s most well known families enjoy Town Toiles designs. They use Ginny’s keen eye for design to add to the ambiance of their homes or bring a unique elegance for the parties.
Town Toiles items use the highest production values and processes available. Ginny’s craftsmen share her vision for excellence.
About Virginia VanOsdol
While Ginny claims she doesn’t have a “look”, she is known for her classic style, her use of color AND her colorful life. She is never afraid of picking bold colors – mixing them up just because she likes them. She wears them and lives in them. She reaches back to a time when life was refined and loves the finer things in life – sterling silver, Porthault linens and Belgian shoes. Painted furniture combined with fine antiques…. chintz, and overstuffed chairs. Understated elegance. Always pink and green. Growing up in Chevy Chase, she spent summers in Nantucket and winters in Sarasota and Palm Beach. She has lived in Georgetown, Locust Valley and San Francisco. She spent most of her career working for (and wearing!) Talbots and Lilly Pulitzer.
What is the driving force behind Town Toiles? Carter and Stuart – Ginny’s toe-headed twin boys. Family comes first for Ginny. She wants her sons to understand and celebrate the truly American traditions she has experienced through the course of her life.
This passion inspired Town Toiles. Her designs work on products that celebrate American life. Whether for entertaining, decoration, or safekeeping – Ginny’s designs bring people together.
